A little about us is that we are a non-for-profit organisation called THEIRS which is anacronym standing for Talk, Hear and Help, Educate, Inform, Refer and Support. We are a mental health and suicide prevention community organisation, whose foundation was formed because of the community’s need for more support and guidance around mental health. We run events in the Smithton and Wynyard municipalities and along the North-West Coast of Tasmania and hope to be statewide in the future.
THEIRS events see unique perspectives from specialists, victim-survivors or advocates and health professionals sharing their knowledge and experience with the selected topic, in panel or guest speaker formats and we develop resources as needed. Service providers are also present at our events, offering their services and support for the community.
