How can theatre be a powerful tool for activism and change?
In this dynamic workshop, young artists will explore feminist and political theatre making through performance, discussion, and text-based work.
Guided by Monument cast members Sarah Sutherland and Julia Hanna, participants will engage with excerpts from Emily Sheehan’s Monument alongside powerful political speeches, learning how to bring these texts to life with urgency and intent.
The workshop will begin with devised and physical theatre activities, which will develop to incorporate text and scene work.
This process will empower young performers to develop their performance skills and create theatre that sparks conversation and action.
Workshop aimed at ages 14 - 18 years old (years 9 - 12)
