Burnie Arts Tuesday Art Club is here—inviting young creators 8 to 13 years of age, to dive into a world of imagination, experimentation, and artistic discovery!
Across an 8-week creative block, participants will be guided by practicing artist Jen Sweeney, exploring a wide range of techniques, materials, and contemporary art approaches. Each session is designed to build skills, spark ideas, and support students to develop their own unique creative voice.
Whether you’re joining for the full 8 weeks or dropping in for a few sessions, all young artists aged 8 to 13 years are welcome. The program is flexible, fun, and focused on encouraging confidence through making.
A key focus of the program will be giving students the opportunity to develop an artwork for entry into the 2026 Youth TASART Competition, with selected works to be exhibited at the Burnie Regional Art Gallery in October 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for young artists to experience the excitement of exhibiting in a professional gallery setting.
Students who complete the full 8-week program will also receive:
