The Burnie Community Recognition Awards celebrate the individuals, groups and events that make a positive difference in our community.
Each year, Council recognises outstanding contributions across five categories: Citizen of the Year, Senior Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Event of the Year — all nominated by the community.
Award recipients will be celebrated at the Community Recognition Awards event, held in line with National Volunteer Week. This special evening brings our community together to recognise and thank those who help make Burnie a more connected, vibrant and supportive place to live.
